Patti Senior
Kid's Ministry Director
Patti Senior was looking for a place to grow and share her gifts. She had taken time off from teaching middle school to raise two children. Her girls became more independent and she was ready to find a place where she could use her past experiences and organizational skills. Having grown up in the church and looking to get connected again, Patti felt called to join the team at Santa Monica Nazarene to develop the kids’ ministry program. She feels blessed to work with a small, but mighty team of God-loving people who want to share the hope of Christ with the community. Her desire to teach the younger members of the community about that hope and love has brought her here.
Katie Savage
Community Care
From the time she was in middle school, Katie has always found herself helping out in Sunday School classrooms. She now leads a team of talented volunteer teachers and helpers in our church’s children’s ministry. She has a degree in English Education, experience teaching at the secondary level, and a passion for helping kids find themselves in the story of God. She also loves coloring and hanging out with her two kids, so this is a good fit. Additionally, Katie enjoys writing, the church, and writing about the church. Check out her first book Grace in the Maybe, which was published by Simon and Schuster in 2012. You can also find her work in the Church of the Nazarene’s new magazine, The Table.
Rachel Moore
Office Assistant
Rachel Moore began working as the office assistant at Santa Monica Nazarene in July 2018. She is an alumni of Trevecca Nazarene University where she studied Dramatic Arts and Applied Theatre. She and her husband Jared are from Nashville, TN, but they relocated to Los Angeles in 2017. Rachel also works as a substitute teacher for Los Angeles County. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys reading, going to the movies, creating new recipes in the kitchen, hanging out with her two cats, Princess and Zelda.
